"He's Just Not That Into You"

Wow, I can't believe it took a movie for me to figure that one out!!!!!

Lil Wayne: My New Man Is Smokin'

So for ages now I have been seeking my soul mate. Looks like now I have found him.

I really have no idea who Lil Wayne is. All I know is that when I see his picture, all I can think is 'we were meant for eachother'. I mean a tattooed face, dreadlocks and badass attitude to follow, how could I resist?

Husband Hunting

So, I got bored today. It was a rainy day in Brooklyn and I already did all my chores, so I figured a good way to pass the time would be to surf for a hubby. I logged into eHarmony, opened some wine, and answered the 15 or so page interview to find my new man. The whole time I was answering personal, but oh-to-real questions about myself, I wondered- how the hell is the Internet going to find me a hubby who is down for all the stuff I am into. I mean really? How are these simple questions going to help me find a guy to travel the world with? So I proceeded and finally my answers started to show up. Unfortunately, I am going to have to pay to see all my new men, so i decided to just browse their bio's for now. So, hubby #1 is Christopher from Huntington Beach. He is a 32 yr old who is passionate about his career as a orthopedic surgeon. Wow! I can't believe I would ever fall in love with an orthopedic surgeon! Might this be love at first sight? Oh, but wait, there is hubby #2, shining through the list. Hubby #2, Adam from Tustin grew up in Iowa and spent most of his time outside hunting, fishing, riding, canoeing, camping and wrenching on toys. Sounds like a dream boat right? Oh, did I mention that Adam views himself as mature? Definitely not going to work out. Unless Adam wants a free spirited novelty hippie chick.

So once again, my husband search has been cut short. Sometimes I think it would be nice to be married, but then other times I realize that with my life being so spontaneous, it would be really hard for me to settle with guys like Christopher & Adam. Sorry eHarmony but I am not going to pay your fee to find my dream hubby. Maybe next time! - Actually, maybe next time I will read a book instead of getting so bored as to internet search for the future Mr. Bondo.

Good luck finding love folks. Who knows, your future could be one click away... or one bottle of wine for that matter!

Cheers!

JUST A REMINDER TO MYSELF

DEAR NICOLE,
SORRY FOR THE BAD WORDS MOM, BUT SERIOUSLY, THIS GUY IS CLUELESS & SO AM I.

Love Lessons

Love lessons
In the past few days I have learned a lot about love. After watching "young and restless in china, crazy love, and commune, my thoughts on love have changed completely.

Crazy love is about the obsessed lover who threw acid in his ex girlfriend's face. Sounds horrific and it is but, this guys obsession is almost honorable. He is dedicated to this woman and will do anything to keep her. After realizing that she is "damage goods" and he gets out of jail, they reunite and are happily back together and in their 70's. This is a freak but amazing love indeed.

Young & restless in china depicts the lives of a few Chinese men and women. When the story goes deep into the farmland of china, the ancient arrange marriages are reveled. A migrant working young woman is forced to marry someone the matchmaker picks out for her. She is opposed while her brother states, why not commit to an arranged marriage? Like a spouse you pick could be better. What we dream is one thing, reality is yet another. This is a good point and something I can sort have grasp. Sometimes I feel as if I could marry anyone. It is all about the balance. Obviously if the guy is mean and violent that is not a good thing. But if things work on some sort of level, then why not flow with it. Our parents had a choice and they aren't always happy about it. Or are they?

Commune puts all these theories to shame by using communal settings to define love. Why keep one lover when you can have them all type attitude. Share and share alike it their motto. This seems like it could be ok and in the larger picture could reflect on society and the fact that we go through so many lovers before picking 'the one'. This orgy / sharing type of attitude is not only very difficult, but also very destructive.

I am a bit old fashioned and believe that I would like to have one lover that I can count on eternally. But as the migrant workers’ brother stated, dreams and reality are two different things. It is strange in our modern time that we have so many choices and in so change the social norm. We have no time restriction or any limitations. This is totally different than our parent's generation. I felt as if they had more pressure to do things a certain way and by a certain time. We are so free now. We have so many choices. I think that is why it is so difficult to find that special someone. Our dreams say one thing, but in reality those dreams aren't always possible.

Goodness! It is time to face the music and settle?

Women are the New Men

Think about this and I will get back to you with my reasoning.

Guys Are So Lame

Sometimes I can't believe that I am straight. So I did some research on dating since I am out of touch (or have never been in touch).
I found an article on the ackwardness feeling, aka the feeling when a guy & girl mutualy like eachother but don't want to be boy/girlfriend but still like eachother... get my drift?

How to Date :
Does He/She Like Me? :
Does He / She Like Me?
Many people are naturally insecure and doubt that they are liked even when it's pretty obvious. If she says hi to you all the time and enjoys talking to you, she likes you. People don't deliberately spend time talking to someone they dislike :) If he waits for you after school to talk to you, he likes you.

People often wonder, "does he like me ENOUGH" or "does she like me THAT way?" You have to take a step back and stop thinking in ultimate terms. Accept that he LIKES you. He talks to you, he likes you. She waits for you, she likes you. Relationships always start with friendships. If you're talking, you're friends. If you talk, you are liked. Build on that, build your friendship. Build the time you spend with each other. The more you talk together, the more you spend time together, the closer you'll get.

How to Date :
Does He/She Like Me? :
Is she really interested?
This is probably one of the oldest questions in the world :) That´s why there are so many love-o-meters and horoscopes out there, to try to figure it out.

Really, you have to sit down and be open and honest with your partner. Talk about what you both feel about the relationship. A lot of it depends on how long you´ve been together. If it´s only been a few weeks or months your partner may still be sorting out how he/she feels. After a year or two, though, it should be pretty clear if this is what you both want or not.

It all comes down to openness and honesty, and communicating well. Choose a quiet time that you both feel comfortable and able to talk for a while. Be a good listener.

Wow. I guess I needed it spelled out for me. Sometimes I wish I a guy would literally come and sweep me off my feet (I must be delirious for thinking this & putting it in print!). Ok I have said enough here. Trying to attract the opposite sex has many challenges. Am I up for a challenge is the question.

Love you!

Married with Kids

Hello. Over the weekend I have decided that I want to settle down. I am not entirely sure what that means yet, but for starters I have decided that I want a man to marry. Not now or anything like that, but just in general. I have always thought against marriage and children, but now realize that I am probably going to need a partner in crime. So, if you know anyone who is pretty hot & pretty manly, then direct him my way. I think the Ab Fab is getting to me & as a result don't want to be an old maid, or a maid in general.

Dating Gone Wrong

I have never really been into dating. Normally I meet a guy, we hit it off instantly and date for 9 months +. Up in Ptwn, the boys are a bit different or I am different or whatever. So, I have been resorting to match.wrong dating. In my 7-9 dates, I have met freakers & weirdos. There are a few who seem pretty cool though. All in all I have spent way too much money and time on this project. I am going broke dating losers.

This web crap has been too funny (see below). These guys are beggers, fakers and some are willing to pretend they have the same interests & stuff. Sorry to talk shit about this, but it is too funny. People who can't see the humor, shouldn't be hanging with me anyways!

Love ya!

[INSERT LAUGH HERE]

This has been the funniest week! I am not going to lie. I have been on 6 dates in 4 days. This has been the funniest experience ever. I laughed, I cried and I even wanted to throw up a few times. Kati and I have been experimenting with Match.com, which we now call MAtch.wrong. As you know, the winter was getting drab, so we had to mix things up a bit. Match.wrong has brought so much fun to our sunless, funless lives. Here are some examples of the quality men that cruz match:

This is SNUGGLEMONSTER. What a total babe! I think I might wanna snuggle up with him tonight.

Wow- with options like these, you can plainly see that Match.wrong is completely worth the $30 paid. Now, not all the dates have been so bad, but it has all been a barrel of laughs either way. I am just waiting for the day I can muster up enough courage to ask one of these fine chaps out. Stay posted!
