Find Your City

Where I used to live:
Portland, Oregon.

Where I live now:
Pacific Beach, Ca.

Awesome.

Psychedelajawea

My friend Luke Forsyth has a new band. I had them play my Short Short's Party, last summer, but the audience was not digging their experimental noise sounds. I later told Luke that they were ahead of their time and they didn't want squares liking their music anyway. I think he understood because Psychedelajawea launched a Southwest Tour. You can check out a video from their recent tour here.

Bend>Suttle Lake>BreightenBush

This weekend rocked! I met up with Unkle, Number 1, Jennifer and the rest of Bendana in Bend, Or on Friday night at the BBC. Love it! Sadly, they were out of Hop Head, my favorite new beer. After a night of fun & games, Kati and I headed up to Suttle Lake. Yeh, it is summer! It was like 99 degrees on the lake- loving that! We just hiked around and laid out for awhile, then Unkle & Fino met up with us. We BBQed and floated around all day long! FUN FUN FUN~! On Sunday, the boys took off early, so we went and rented a fisher man's boat. It was slow, but so much fun. I made the mistake of jumping off... oops! i couldn't get back on. Looks like I am going to have to take a guy out next time to help out on my boat. After a few hours of boating, Kati & I rolled up to BreightenBush where we chilled in 120 degree hot springs and saunaed it up. After a hippie spa day, we had a huge vegan organic dinner at the hippie spa. It was the best weekend ever! I feel so refreshed and in-touch with my inner hippie. I love summer. I love the way the sky is clear and blue. I love the trees and the glisten of the sun on the water. I got sad as we made our way back to Portland. I know in my heart, I am a country girl. I think I am in love with Bend, Or. I am not too sure how the winter's are, but I am in love with Summertime Bend. It is kinda my thing: trees, beer, kind people who are fun. Love it! LOve you!

Till the next episode...

Sometimes I Dream

I gave up dreaming about an hour ago. What is the use, I thought, I have been doing it for so long and nothing really has come out of it. I sit around daydreaming of all the things I want, or all the places I would rather be than here. Portland, Oregon. How did this happen to me? Raised in California, I became burnt out by all the plastic realities, maybe that is when I begun to daydream. I dreampt my way out of Southern California and let myself adrift all over the country before landing in Northern California. A good run there, but I kept dreaming. I have always wanted bigger and better things. For some reason, I feel like I deserve them. Not like I am better, I just have always dreamed big.

Here in Portland it rains. The rain comes down and it is cold. It makes rain come from my eyes. It makes rain come from my heart. I sit bored again, dreaming. I have a job, a boyfriend and a rental. My boyfriend makes me happy, though I believe that he does not truly understand me. My job is an unchallenging bore. My rental is cold and dark, just like the rest of the city. Sometimes I wonder why I am here, and I begin to dream again.

No one knows that all I do is dream. Or maybe they do. I dream that life will make me grand, but I already know I am grand. I dream life will help me make what I have better, but I already know what I have is enough. I am never content with what I have hence the dreams. As Americans, we always want more, and accordingly, I want more. So, I dream of more and try to resist.

But I have given dreaming up, or maybe dreaming has given up me. Either way our fantacy relationship is over. No more dreams of a home of my own. No more dreams of a place I can rest and no one will ever bother me. No more dreams of having a purpose in life. No more dreams of freedom and happiness. Our relationship is over. We are over taunting each other.

Boring People Are Boring

This book looks like a best seller to me. It must be written about people living in Portland, Or.

Bend Over!

Hey now! This past weekend, Kati & I visited Jason #1 & Jennifer down in Bend, Oregon. Woah, I already knew Jason & Jen were fun, but add a few pints from Bend Brewing Co. and shit gets explosive! The BBC just won best brew in the world! Tonya Cornett of the BBC just won Brewmaster of the year!- you go girl! I can agree with the committee on this one, her Hop Head is the best beer I have ever tasted in my life. I drank so much, I now have a genuine beer belly! I even bought 3 growlers of the beer that makes me so hoppy!! So add some hoppy pints to the already fabulous krew and what comes next? BENDANNA!! This is our new band / dance team featuring Jennifer, Kati, Allison, Meg, Little John, and myself. Jason #1 & Sunshine are our producers and agents. We are known by our vibrant purple bandanna's and our eclectic dance style. If you get a chance, this is a show you are not going to want to miss. I will post the video as soon as I get it. So all & all, Bend, Or. rocks. I will definitely terrorize that place again! Next time I hope to make the 86ed wall at Bil''s D & D. Good times & great oldies... till the next episode...PIMP DOWN!

Over It!

These are the things that are currently pissing me off:
1. Crystal moving to Buffalo.
2. Guys being idiots.
3. The weather in Portland.
4. Being bored.
5. Being hungry.

Grrrr!

Naked Oregon

This weekend it was like 80 degrees or something in Portland. Previously it has been raining and sometimes hailing. Not fun for spring to say the least. So in worship of the sun, Kati & I headed out to the SAuvie Island nude beach. Oh what fun! It was like a comic adventure. We sat in an isolated spot ( at least we thought it was isolated). As we laid there we started to notice that all of a sudden we were in the beach's cross beach traffic. Men were walking by life crazy. Mind you , everyone is naked, so we are laughing and the men are lurking. It was a riot. Then a man who looked like he just popped out of the dinosaur age rolls up. He is completely tan with a chizzled beard shave and a feather in his hand. He lurks around us for awhile. At this point everyone on the beach is chekcin this guy out because he is riding dirty! We ignore him for awhile and turn up the Bon Jovi. Just then a group of people roll up. Oh wait, what the hell? It is Chris Parker & crew. Nice. Getting caught on the naked beach by someone I actualy know & that doesn't even live in Portland, priceless. This is probaly the funniest thing that has ever happened. More happens but you can hear it from me in person. Suavie Island rocks. For more info about Naked Oregon check out the Oregon Clothing-Optional Beach Alliance! (http://www.orcoba.org/). They can help your dreams + tans come true!

Namaste.

Cheers!
